High Sheriff Award 2016
We were thrilled to be invited to the High Sheriff Awards in Durham Castle last week, organised by County Durham Foundation, sponsored by Sir James Knott Trust. The castle was a great setting with a lovely buffet lunch attended by local Mayors and representatives from throughout County Durham. The day was made even better when our Project was awarded joint first place. Two of our young people Toni Lovett and Olivia Lovett went up to receive the award together with a cheque for £2500.
A big thank you to County Durham Foundation and The Sir James Knott Trust.
The same morning we also received a cheque from the Rothley Trust who have given us so much support over the years I have been with the Project. Thank you so much.
Both awards will go a long way to the sustainability of our Project and enable us to continue working with young people in Derwentside
